Welcome to The Well of Life

There is a story in the Bible in John chapter 4. Jesus is sitting beside a well when a woman comes to draw water. He offers her a different sort of water, one that can make her come alive so that she need never be thirsty again. We call ourselves “The Well of Life” because we have tasted this water, and want to share it with our neighbours.

We are a group of people from the Surrey and Hampshire area exploring life together and discovering more about God’s unconditional love and acceptance.

Jesus summarised all his teaching in just two commands: to love God with all our heart, and to love our neighbours just as we love ourselves. We seek to understand what it means, at this pivotal point in history, to follow the way of Jesus and how that plays out in our day-to-day lives, in our communities and through the various projects we support across the world.

The Well of Life Home

We began in Queens Road Baptist Church, Farnborough back in the 1960’s, and from there we became Farnborough Christian Fellowship. Having outgrown the Baptist Church in the late 1970’s/early 80’s, we began to meet in local school halls. In 1984 we were led by God to purchase The King’s Centre (previously the Odeon Cinema) in High Street, Aldershot and we became the King’s Church. We met in the King’s Centre and at other centres in the surrounding area. In 2000, looking forwards at the start of the new century, we changed our name to KC21. We continued to meet at The King’s Centre until August 2015 when the building was sold.

The Well of Life Home

Since September 2016, we have continued meeting together as The Well of Life, seeking to explore new ways of following Jesus and serving our communities.

We share our understanding of what it means to love God and to love our neighbours. We demonstrate our faith by the way we live. We support community projects at home and abroad with our money, and through members getting personally involved and working alongside other groups to serve effectively.

We meet together mainly in people’s homes in Aldershot, Farnborough and Godalming. We meet informally as friends. We provide safe spaces where we follow strict health & safety and safeguarding guidelines. Everyone is welcome, including any with physical or learning disabilities. As we meet in people’s homes, there are no special facilities for those with a disability.

The Well of Life Home

We welcome all – people of faith and none – to join us as we explore further. We meet together as a group on Sundays and at various points in the week and in smaller groups. Our meetings are informal, friendly and relational.

If you would like to find out more about us, please send a message with your contact details, and someone will get in touch to give you details of where we are meeting.
